The Smart123BMS is popular system due to reliability and user friendly monitoring. This system is equiped by Charge and Discharge relays which should manage other devices of the whole solar system.

Victron Energy Lithium battery systems (Multi or Quattro) are also possible to connect to the system from another manufacturer. The Battery Management Systems (BMS) will need to have control of the charging and discharging of the battery in most installations. They will want to stop the charging process when the maximum cell voltage increases above a threshold and also they will want to switch off a loads that are discharging the battery pack when the minimum cell voltage drops below lower threshold.

The Victron inverters are equiped by AUX I/O (allow to charger) and Temp sense (allow to discharger) ports. The charge/discharge contact functionality is working in case the "Lithium assistant" is activ only.

These ports are connected to the relays of Smart123BMS OUT board by following diagram.
