1MWh energy storage solution (ESS)

In co-operation with our partners, we have supplied lithium cells for a project of 1MWh mobile energy storage solution. This project is scheduled to be completed in November 2012 in Budapest, Hungary. It is grid-tied solution to allow energy storage release and buffering to the 3x400VAC network at switching times of >0.001 second.

The battery bank is made using 400 pieces of the Winston 1,000AHC LiFeYPO4 cells so the actual capacity is 1.2MWh. With 80% DOD the effective storage is 1MWh.

The installation is made into 40FT standard container and is designed as fully mobile. The inverter is a proprietary developed technology of two-way switching inverter with full galvanic separation. This solution meets the strict standard of the grid regulative norms and can be applied to the AC grid at any location in Europe.

We will provide updates on the project and release the technical report about this solution in December 2012. The 1MWh energy storage solution is a prototype to be ready for mass manufacturing in 2013/Q2. If you are interested in co-operation please be sure to contact us for further inquiries.
