FAQ:  The Enhanced Lithium Iron Technology

Q:  What is the enhanced lithium iron technology?

A:  The enhanced lithium iron technology is the latest further development of the high power lithium iron cells and batteries using additional chemical particles for the cathode of the cells.  This means the standard LiFePo4 chemistry is enhanced by using chemical compounds of other materials: yttrium, magnesium, titan, vanadium and others. This makes for the new chemistry names:  LiFeYPO4, LiFeMgPO4, LiFeTiPO4 and others.

Q: Who are the battery manufacturers who use the enhanced lithium iron technology?

A: The long term market leader has been the ThunderSky group in China. The TS batteries are world-wide recognized as the leading brand for the “yttrium technology” – LiFeYPO4.  The magnesium chemistry has been used by Valence Battery Group - LiFeMgPO4.  The Tinanium batteries are still under developments using Li4Ti5O12. The famous global manufacturer Varta is offering new solutions under the CellPac Plus brand.
