Standard energy use (no self-every production)
All energy taken from the grid. All money goes to the grid operator

GridFree installation
* Part of energy supply is self-generated.
* Only part of energy is taken from the grid.
* Self-generated energy is NEVER given to grid.

The purpose of the GridFree is to reduce the power consumption from the grid by means of self generation of the energy.  This is not an off-grid concept. At the GridFree installation the connection to the grid remains and a part of the energy is always taken from the grid, especially in times when there is no self-generation (e.g. at night for PV installations or in cloudy winter days.)
