FAQ: European compliance with the grid-standards

Question: The Grid operator in my country requests to provide a confirmation of the settings for the micro-inverter. How can I change these settings?

Answer:  The EN  50438 gives the specifications for the country settings in the Annex A document. The GWL MicroInverters have been tested to comply with these settings. The strictest settings are preset as default settings for the micro-inverter. This way it is sure that the micro-inverter is compatible with the requirements of the grid operation in all of Europe for the 230V AC network.

Please contact us if you need a specific configuration of the settings for your country to be confirmed in a written form.

In addition the above information, when the Micro-Inverter is operated in the Grid-Free type of installation, all energy generated by the micro-inverter(s) will be used directly at the place and no energy will be provided to the grid. In this type of GridFree installation, there is no need for the user to inform or consult with the Grid operator.  The reason is that the micro-inverter(s) is used only for self-consumption and there is no feeding of the energy to the Grid. This way the micro-inverter(s) as if do not exist for the Grid operator. They are used only for your own benefit of reducing the demand from the Grid.
