Main purpose of this MPPT inverter is to convert harvested energy from PV modules directly (without battery) into heating coil of water tank (or similar appliance).

The inverter optimize harvested DC energy via MPPT algorithm, invert it into AC with rectangular wave with 50Hz frequency.

Direct PV connection vs. installation with MPPT inverter:
  • With low irradiation level heating coil lower PV module voltage which cause decreasing of output power.
  • MPPT technology optimize the PV module voltage to keep supply the coil.
  • DC input into water tank can easily damage included thermostat and disable it. Generally, DC power needs specific switch for save turning off.
  • AC input even with modified wave is easily to be cut off and safe in comparison of similar voltage level DC power.

The biggest advantage of the MPPT inverter can be tracked mostly while the weather is unstable, cloudy or during a sunrise and sunset. That's when to voltage drops because of constant current consumption but lower PV module's power.

With the inverter you can use any common water tank with AC input.
